About Me

I believe psychotherapy is a safe place in which people can learn and grow by developing an understanding of their emotional states. By understanding yourself better, you can begin to cope with your pain and learn to react to others in a positive manner. In treating families or individuals, my goal is to empathically help people heal. With healing comes enriched life experiences that enable us to become closer to the ones we love. I utilize a relational approach with groups and families, to achieve this goal together.

Our goal will be to establish a deep, self-reflective therapy in a respectful, emotionally engaged, and caring environment. Successful therapy hinges on the quality of the relationship. Together we will engage our efforts
on several levels: addressing the current situation, early life experiences, and conscious and unconscious parts of the psyche, as well as the underlying dynamics that interfere with progress toward healing and wholeness.

Psychotherapy is a way of intentionally attending to the situations that cause conflict, distress, or unhappiness in life. And you will learn to make room to change ways you respond to situations that are more in sync with your values, innate abilities, and desires.

Therapy provides a safe space for processing thoughts and feelings, and for exploring different ways of being. Whatever your concerns, we’ll work together to help you feel better. Our work can develop your strengths, self-confidence, & help you feel more comfortable in your own skin, leading to greater peace of mind.

We will work together to forge a strong, uplifting, and secure relationship that serves as a model for future relationships that you strive to develop. This exercise provides a reference for you to compare other relationships, and can measure them against this supportive framework to determine if they constructive or destructive.
